So Predictable Mr. Sparks
Hello Dear Followers,
I’ve finished “The Best of Me” by Nicholas Sparks late last night. I have a few thoughts to share about the book.
I thought the book was good, true Nicholas Sparks fashion, nothing extraordinary, but always good. It was the first time however, that the book didn’t leave a craving for more. I am not sure why that was, but it just didn’t.
I thought in the beginning the love story between the two main characters was a bit rushed which didn’t allow for a true connection for me. I felt their love but I didn’t feel their love. I wanted their circumstance to end differently than it did. However, I can see why it ended the way it did for the character of Dawson.
Since I didn’t feel a true connection between Dawson and Amanda, I found myself angry at Dawson’s decision to not live his life during the years Amanda wasn’t there. I felt like what a waste, but at the same time I understood why he chose the path he did in life.
Overall, I thought the book was good and I do recommend it to those who have never experience Mr. Sparks and all his greatness. Let me know what you think!
Until next time..
